The Contracting Guy delivers US Federal Government Contracting Education for VOSBs and SDVOSBs
The Contracting Guy provides tailored training and micro-consulting in a less costly and more focused method of knowledge transfer, problem solving, and education for the acquisition and program communities. For The Contracting Guy, micro-consulting focuses on contracting challenges valued at or under $10,000, the current micro-purchase threshold for Government Purchase Cards.
Phillips Training and Consulting Inc. and was founded by Dr. James N. Phillips Jr., in 2016 for the purpose of continuing the Understanding Solicitations and Preparing Proposal (USPP) workshops he conducted throughout Michigan.
The USPP Workshops have been conducted for over 10 years serving the small businesses in Michigan through partnerships with the Michigan Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (PTAC). USPP, Third Edition, was the fruit of that relationship and was published in the Spring of 2017.

PTACInc. focuses on its strengths, which are acquisition knowledge transfer on a short term basis for organizations with a limited budget. Micro-consulting may be best used in source selection team preparation, market research planning, and post award contract management (COR work), to name but a few.
An common example of this type of work occurs when the customer/end user has to work with their team to pull together requirements for a solicitation but do not have the contracting expertise and their supporting contracting office is unable to provide assistance in a manner they require.

Pricing is tailored to meet your need. Pricing will always include travel, lodging, and per diem. Pricing is based on the work, however as a micro-consultant it will not exceed $10,000 for an agreed upon body of work.
